Story Time!

I don’t have kids myself, but I do have three nephews all under the age of four. And I know how much they all love climbing on their parents and being read books. They always want me to either read them a story or make one up about them having magical powers, super-human strength, or going into outer space, all sorts of stuff. Story Something has created a solution to combine the two.
Story Something recently, and very privately, opened their services to the public. On Story Something.Com, a parent can create a personalized story for a child. With over 50 stories to choose from, Story Something has a story for every kid out there. Once you sign up, Story Something asks you to add children and family details like the child’s name, age, and gender. Then, after choosing the story you want, it will put your child’s name in the text making them the star! The two of you can read the story right there on the Website or it can be sent to an email address for future use. Also, Story Something will email new stories each week that your child will like.
The site is launching so close to Christmas on purpose. Story Something believes that holiday season brings lots of travel for families and so they wanted to provide their stories for long car rides. Right now, the home page features a new holiday story that lets your child choose the direction of the storyline.
According to TechCrunch, the average mother spends less than 5 minutes a day reading to her child. In the spirit of the Holiday season, take some time out of your busy work day and read a personalized story to your kids. They will love it!
