My mistake. It is eight meals, not ten.
That still only gives $0.14 for one meal. I'm sure the dollar will go a long way in terms of food, but $0.14 cannot provide a full, wholesome meal by any means.
Even in the poorest country in the Eastern hemisphere, Haiti, you cannot buy a meal for less than about $0.20; even that would only be a bowl of rice with some vegetables mixed in. And I feel safe saying that American meal rates are a little higher than Haiti's.

Hi, this is Feran with the Internet Explorer Outreach Team. Just to clarify each download donation is the equivalent of 8 meals, not 10. Visit the Feeding America site and you can learn more about how far a dollar can reach in terms of food - http://feedingamerica.org. And anyone interested in downloading IE8 can do so here: http://www.browserforthebetter.com?ocid=ie8_sm_a

Thanks,
Feran
