Facebooks & LinkedIns & Twitter, Oh My
So you recently set up a Twitter account to allow the world to see what you are up to, 140 characters at a time. Your college friends talked you into putting together a Facebook Profile so they can tag you in old and embarrassing pictures, and your annoying brother-in-law keeps mentioning the importance of an up-to-date LinkedIn profile.
Connecting to your friends, potential customers and family, IS important, but you don’t have the time update all of these profiles… We at Keystone feel the same way; however we have also seen the bottom line business benefits from having an active profile with these social networking tools.
Recently, our friend Dan Ryan at Linking Tennessee introduced us to a web utility that allows you to update all of your profiles at once, without logging into each of your social networking sites. You simply set up an account with Ping.Fm and through an easy to use screen on Ping’s site, you activate your social networking profiles. (Ping.Fm claims that they support over 30 sites.) When you want to update all of your sites, you go to Ping.fm, and enter your ‘status update’ there, and it automatically updates them all.
Just think, now you can tell all of your friends about the fish tacos you just ate, and it will update all of your profiles simultaneously! Oh, and did I mention you can do all of this from your Blackberry, iPhone or other handheld ‘smart device’? Happy Ping.Fm-ing!
